Bereaved sister sells clothing to support Sibling Support
The Lonely Thoughts Clothing Company has raised an incredible £700 for Sibling Support, which was doubled by the Big Give Christmas campaign to £1400.
We are incredibly grateful to the Lonely Thoughts Clothing Company for picking Sibling Support as one of the charities and good causes they wanted to help in 2023.
The company was founded by Lyndsey Hester and her husband from her embroidery and printing business as a way of doing something to help mental health.
Lyndsey said: “For the last 10 years, I’ve owned an embroidery and printing business, and I personally myself, have had a lot of mental health issues. So, we decided to make a clothing company. We do all the embroidery ourselves; we hand stitch everything ourselves, and we do all that for free, so the profits can be built up to go to the cause we’re supporting at the time.”
All the proceeds from the clothing sales go directly to mental health charities and causes they support.
Lyndsey explained why they picked Sibling Support as one of this year’s charities.
“I lost my sister in 2016. I was in my 20’s when she died and she was 34. And because of losing a sibling myself, when I was looking for the next campaign to support, Sibling Support popped up. After doing research, I felt strongly that I wanted to support you.”
